About Us

TableTalk was opened in May 2005 focusing the business on three of my favorite things.. people, food and the love of entertaining at home.

While living abroad, I had a busy cottage industry importing Canadian gourmet foods, tableware and kitchen gadgets as well as a special interest in the creative side preparing unique gift baskets for my customers and corporate clients. I couldn’t resist the urge to expand this into a full time business when we returned home to Canada and to Port Hope.  In April 2008, I pursued another passion, that of gardening and opened my second store, Garden Retreat, in Cobourg Ontario,  featuring unique functional and décor items for garden, gift and home. Garden Retreat is now closed in Cobourg (August 2009) and is moving to Port Hope in the near future.
